Where to buy Disney tickets

Purchasing Disney ticketsAfter you've booked your flight to Orlando and Orlando area accommodations, the next step is purchasing your theme park tickets. Sure you could wait and purchase them when you get to Walt Disney World, but aren't you going to be standing in enough lines already without adding one more? You may even be able to get a discount as part of a Disney World vacation package.

Here are some tips for purchasing your Disney World tickets.

Fireworks at Cinderella castle- a great reason to visit Walt Disney World and Magic Kingdom

The simplest, safest, and unfortunately most expensive way to purchase your Walt Disney World tickets is through the Disney Website, or by phone directly from Disney. You'll pay full price, but at least you'll have peace of mind knowing your tickets will arrive on time with no surprises.

Another option if you're purchasing through an online travel site such as Expedia, Travelocity, etc. is to purchase your Walt Disney World tickets when you book your trip. A recent price comparison showed a $50 savings per ticket for 7-day passes.

An Internet search for "Disney tickets" will yield thousands of sites selling Disney World Orlando theme park tickets. Sites like Love Orlando Tickets offer a great way to save on your Disney Premium tickets. Be careful though, the Internet is full of horror stories of people who purchase multi-day passes only to realize some of the days were used up or they had purchased non-transferable tickets. Chances are if the price sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

That being said, you can find a slight savings at some Disney Websites not owned and operated by Walt Disney World. There are plenty of legitimate options for purchasing Disney tickets. Just do your homework and understand that you're accepting a certain amount of risk.
